Choir without the boring bits
Q: WHAT IS SOME VOICES AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
A: Some Voices is a contemporary, non-religious choir made up nearly 1000 members, split between 12 groups across London.
We run evening choirs 7-9pm across three 10 week terms (SPRING (January -> April) | SUMMER (May -> August) | WINTER (September -> December). During which you you’ll learn and rehearse up to 10 songs.
At the end of the 10 week term we produce large scale and professional standard performances for you to take part in
Waterloo Wednesday offers people the opportunity to take part in a smaller choir and perform in more relaxed and intimate gigs. We follow the same term structure as the larger choir (above) but with different music to suit the size of the choir.

A: Anyone can switch choirs during term. The only restriction is for Waterloo Wednesday. If they move to or from WW then they need to made aware that it's a different setlist and the songs they've learnt so far won't be the same. They also need to be reminded of the different shows.
Q: CAN I ATTEND MORE THAN ONE REHEARSAL IN A WEEK?
A: Yes, if you've missed a rehearsal and want to catch up, or if you generally feel like you need a bit more practice then you're more than welcome to attend an additional rehearsal. Please do make sure you add your name to the other rehearsal's register.
Q: WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND MY REHEARSAL?
A: No problem!
Let us know which rehearsals you'll be missing on the google form [HERE]. If you're able to attend another rehearsal in its place, just head there and add your name to the relevant part of the register. If not, you can still practice at home with your membership pack.

If after 3 missed rehearsals we still haven't heard from you we'll assume you no longer want to attend and will open up your spot to those on the waiting list - but don't worry. If you've just been away and forgotten to let us know, drop us an email at email@example.com and we'll get you back on that register.

Q: How can I get involved with Other Opportunities - how does sign up work?
A: Rather excitingly. we’re getting asked to take part in a whole range of gigs (BBC, Timeout50, Festival of Voice, The Big Feasitval)
There’s a range of ability that exists within the Some Voices main choirs, Semi Chorus and Company choir so we need to consider many factors when planning each event as best as possible; for us, you and our clients. Although there are occasional exceptions to ‘the rule’, here’s a low down of how it works and when you can get involved.
Open to all members. No audition required.
MEDIUM SIZED GIGS
For auditioned singers from Semi Chorus. (NB: Most of the time gigs will be allocated on a first come first serve basis but on occasion, rehearsal time, client needs and event set up means we call on singers based on recent and relevant experience with us and the client)
Mainly for professional (our Company Choir) and very strong singers with lots of experience.
Q: I CAN’T COME TO CHOIR ANYMORE - CAN I GET A REFUND?
A: We are sorry to see you go!
As stated in the MEMBERSHIP POLICY you have the right to cancel this agreement at any time, however, the minimum commitment period is one term. Refunds won’t be given for the remainder of the current term if you decide to leave before the end.
You can interrupt your membership for any period of time under exceptional reasons, to be agreed with Some Voices management.
