Some Voices choir launches in Paris!

Following the huge success of Some Voices Amsterdam choir, Some Voices is coming to Paris in May 2024!

The Paris choir will be led by Emma Stubbs, a Franco-British singer, songwriter and primary school teacher. Emma was a member of Some Voices choir when she lived in London and since moving to Paris has been keen to start a French branch of the choir:

I am so excited about the opportunity to launch a Some Voices choir in Paris! Being part of it when I was living in London was such a fun and extraordinary experience, I am thrilled to be able to build a community in France and to share the love, joy and passion for singing which Some Voices is all about!
Emma Stubbs, Paris Choir Leader

The Paris choir will be rehearsing at the Living School, where Emma teaches, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris near the Buttes Chaumont Parc. Rehearsals start on 23rd May and will be on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm. The first term will run for 8 weeks until 15th July.

Being part of Some Voices is more than an outlet for singing; the choirs build community for members, especially in cities where it can be difficult to meet like-minded people. Through singing and performing together, members share unforgettable moments and build life-long friendship. It also has wonderful benefits for mental health, helping members to deal with anxiety, isolation and building their confidence.

I have grown in confidence so much since starting to sing with Some Voices. Every week, there is such a buzz in rehearsals and I always leave feeling elated. The opportunity to perform with a great group of friends is so much fun and is the best anti-dote to a boring day job!

Some Voices choir is open to all adults, there are no auditions, you don’t need singing experience or to read music, as everything is taught by ear. Everyone is welcome and you can try out your first rehearsal for free by booking a free taster session.

Some Voices

SOME VOICES started small in 2010, with seven chorus members meeting up to perform original arrangements of popular classics that range from Bowie to Bjork, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Nicks, from Folk to Hip Hop, and everything in between - all with a Some Voices twist.

Nine years down the line, more than 1500 singers are now part of the exciting ensemble that performs on some of the biggest stages in London. KOKO, The Southbank Centre, Oval Space,The Rivoli Ballroom, The Grand Clapham, HERE and The Troxy have all seen the group attract audiences in their thousands
