Through social events, bespoke gig posters sales from Ninety Five Prints, and donations made throughout the performances of our Christmas Show ‘Seasonal Speakeasy’ at Troxy, Some Voices together with our 800 strong choir members and audiences have raised a staggering £5839.40 for APP.
As part of our fundraising, we work with artist (and choir member) Sunnie Newby at Ninety-Five Prints to produce bespoke commissioned artwork with represents the theme of each of our gigs.
You can now pre-order your prints for a special discount price. All profits to go APP, our chosen Charity for the this term.
Earlier this year Some Voices tragically lost a member and friend of our community to a very rare but very serious mental health condition. Postpartum Psychosis is a severe, but treatable, form of mental illness that occurs after having a baby. It can happen ‘out of the blue’ to women without previous experience of mental illness, and affects 1,400 woman every year in the UK.
Calling ALL you SOME VOICERS!
We have 3 vocal solos and 1 rap solo up for grabs for the Seasonal Speakeasy show…
The wonderful , super duper membership master Al has recently opened an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) club in Peckham Rye called Rising Tide, and would love to see some of your friendly faces dowj there if you have an interest in the arts.
