Some Voices launch BBC Radio One Pedal Power for Comic Relief

Some Voices choir sang live on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Greg James to send Mollie King off on her Pedal Power Challenge for Comic Relief. The choir, led by Alice Morgan and with acoustic guitar by Owen Roberts, sang an original arrangement of ‘All Fired Up’ by Mollie’s band, The Saturdays.

Some Voices professional choir performed at LEGO Group’s Christmas launch event at their flagship Leicester Square store. Our singers serenaded guests and shoppers with top festive pop tunes and even got to dance with some life-size LEGO figures.

In Spring 2023, our Founders and Musical Directors Laura and Curtis selected the National Youth Arts Trust as our chosen charity, in memory of much-loved, long-standing choir member, Martin Meadows-Evans, who sadly passed away in December 2022. This was a charity that meant a lot to Martin and their mission to make performing arts more inclusive and accessible to all really aligns with what we do here at Some Voices.

Every term Some Voices ask choir members and leaders to nominate charities to support throughout the term’s activities. After several rounds of nominations and shortlisting, the now 800 strong choir have voted to fundraise for Shine Cancer Support.
